A sentence in which two or more verbs or verbal constructions are used as the predicate of the same subject is called a sentence with verbal constructions in series.

①The predicate of a sentence with verbal constructions in series may be only two verbs. For example:

他们来参观。

②The predicate verbs of a sentence with verbal constructions in series may both take objects or only one of them may take an objects. For example:

我去找他。

我去宿舍找他。

③An adverbial adjunct, if there is any, is normally placed before the first predicate verb. For example:

他想乘车去。

小张要买一份说明书看。

④The negative form is generally made by placing the negative adverb 不 or 没有 before the first predicate verb. For example:

他们不去旅游了。

我没挨他坐。
