On the afternoon of September 6th, Wang Quan, Secretary of Changzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, investigated the development of some vocational colleges in Changzhou. In Changzhou Institute of Industry Technology (CZIIT), Wang Quan was shown around the practical training rooms of intelligent tourism, tea ceremony, flower arrangement, restaurant service, and urban rail transit operation and management. He communicated and interacted with the teachers and students to acquaint himself with the college’s connotation construction and spiritual outlook of the teachers and students.
In the intelligent tourism training room, Ms. Yan Lingling was giving tour commentary on a famous tourist attraction in Changzhou. With the help of 3D technology, the course realizes the integration of human and scenery, creating a virtual simulation of the professional atmosphere for students. Wang Quan highly approved of this information-based teaching model. He expected that talent cultivation plans of tourism management should keep pace with the times, realize the organic integration of traditional teaching and modern technology, and meet the needs of tourism enterprises in Changzhou, a prospective tourist star city.
In the tea ceremony training room, Wang Quan and his party watched the tea serving performance. Wang Quan believes that tourism is a very good major, which plays an important supporting role in improving the quality of the people’s life.
In the flower arrangement training room, the students were practicing the Oriental flower arranging technique under the guidance of Ms. Fang Jing. When the students saw Wang Quan and his party coming to class, they all stood up and applauded to welcome him. Wang Quan sent a message to them that they should learn well and serve the society.
In the OCC (Operation Control Center) training room of School of Rail Transit Engineering and Technology, Ms. Hu Keling introduced the main functions of OCC training room to Wang Quan in detail, and demonstrated the rail transit control system. In the operation service training room, Miss Wu Mengqian explained and demonstrated subway ticketing, security inspection and other station service. Wang Quan experienced personally subway ticket purchasing and card swiping, inquired with concern about the co-construction of training rooms between schools and enterprises, encouraged the college to further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, and made more and greater contributions to the training of personnel in rail transit service and management.
Wang Quan fully affirmed CZIIT’s school-running philosophy and teaching mode. He hoped that the college would be close to the market demand, and cater to the direction of Changzhou industrial development to serve the local economic development better.
