Miao Changwu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Changzhou Institute of Industry Technology (CZIIT), paid an exchange visit to Bangladesh and Cambodia with a delegation of Chinese vocational colleges from July 8th to 15th. During his visit to Bangladesh, he was received by Mr. Alamgir (Secretary general of the Education Ministry of Bangladesh) and Mr. Zhang Zuo (Ambassador of China’s Embassy in Bangladesh). Over the talk, the two sides have conducted extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on how to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in terms of vocational education, how to train international students in China and how to bridge the specific cooperation between Sino-Bangladeshi vocational colleges. Then he achieved cooperation intention with the authority of Dhaka Institute of Science and Technology in the course of his visit there. He also participated in and directed a special Bangladesh enrollment publicity meeting called “Information Session of Study in China”.
During his visit to Cambodia, Miao Changwu paid a formal visit to Ms. Khlot Thyda (the education counselor of Cambodia Prime Minister) and Chairman of the Cambodia-China Friendship Association and took a group photo. He held talks with Cambodia’s Intawijt University on the exchange of teachers, the cultivation of foreign students and the cooperation in running schools, and signed a memorandum of cooperation. Miao Changwu also talked with the officials of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour in Cambodia. In order to actively respond to the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in vocational education, and enhance the level of vocational education personnel cultivation in both countries, they reached a consensus, laying a good foundation for further cooperation. On the spot of “study in China” enrollment, Miao Changwu introduced the characteristics of CZIIT and the advantages of studying in CZIIT. He was highly praised by students and parents.
